These two guitars are the first examples
of a new model I've added to the line: a “Small Jumbo.” With a body that's 19-1/2" long
and 16" across the lower bout, it falls right between my “OM”
and “Jumbo” sizes. These were built as an “almost matched” pair for jazz
performance, but the size and shape also make it well adapted as an “all
around” flatpick and fingerstyle instrument, with a bit more power
and bass than the OM.
The instruments pictured were made of European maple,
Sitka spruce, and some old walnut salvaged from a church pew! |
